This months guest mix comes from another popular Mixcloud DnB DJ; he is well know for his deep flowing liquid sets and atmospheric vibes. We are proud present Fluence:

My name is Jason Podsednik (aka Fluence) out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. I've always been a big fan of digital and electronic dance music. I enjoy everything from ambient psy-trance to 80s synth-pop. So I have a very wide range of musical tastes. I started bedroom producing dance music back in the early 2000s using simple and cheap software packages and midi plug-ins, and completed about 6 or 7 albums worth of material before I finally decided that I wasn't very good at it. I slowly moved into mixing sets that included down-tempo and ambient styles. I really had allot of fun doing that until I discovered drum and bass...namely, the liquid side of DnB. We're all on a mission to find what sings to our soul in this world, and this genre certainly does it for me. Now, I am completely addicted to everything deep and dark in the sounds of the liquid drum and bass world. The freedom of expression and creativity that is found within the DnB genre these days is unparalleled.

I've had a fairly successful run on Mixcloud over the past several years compiling and mixing basically every sub-genre of the liquid drum and bass arena. Huge props go out to every single artist whose material I've ever mixed, spoken of, and purchased. They have truly made a difference in my life, and I'm sure, in the lives of other people who tune in.

Time for another great guest mix; this month we host one of Mixcloud's most popular DJ's. From Frankfurt we present Unit Grooves!

Hi, unit here from unit grooves. Non professional sofa DJ, likes to play bit round with music, knobs and faders for own and may others enjoyment. I do this for fun and the love for good music.
My roots into electronic programmed beats are in the 1996 where I started to produce own tracks with hardware sampler´s like AKAI, Emu and some Synths like Korg (later the Electribe series) and Cubase running via Midi on a Atari Mega ST (later PC). I focused on house and vocal tech house but after my first Jungle parties I stepped into Jungle and DNB. I was not good at that producing that stuff to be honest and it started to eat up all my money & real time so I needed set preferences and stopped that.

Round 2006 I began to buy my preferred music online and did my first steps in mixing with Virtual DJ. (Later, Herkules RMX, S2 –Native Instruments and now Reloop Jockey 3 rmx with Traktor Pro) To buy all tracks is my way to show respect to the work of the artists. The intention is to arrange the tracks in a way and selection I like to hear them in a continuous mix. And the fun to play round with tracks knobs and faders on my controller.

Manly focus on liquid, and atmospheric deeper dnb, but love and hear and mix all kind of drum & bass as long it taste my ears. Since 2 years I upload my sets on Mixcloud and up to now I am real happy with the feedback. Thanks to Fat Badger Podcast for the invite. Hope you n´joy the mix.

At the age of 17 Quinten graduated high school and started his training as a sound engineer. After only 12 months his knowledge and skills improved enormously. He happened to meet the Dutch house legend Gregor Salto who invited him to Haarlem, Quinten was adjusted to his label and made his first steps as a drum and bass DJ. His favorite genres include Liquid - and Neurofunk. His greatest success is his appearance at the Amsterdam Dance Event with a closing set on Gregor Salto's party and the 4th place at the HD BASS DJ CONTEST in July 2015 in Heidelberg, Germany.

In May 2016 Quinten released his remix of Cheat Codes & Kris Kross Amsterdam‘s hitsingle ‚Sex‘ on Spinnin‘ Records. Only 4 weeks later Quinten dropped his first remix on major label Universal for Timo ODV and Sara Jackson‘s ‚Save Me‘, South Africa‘s 2015 ‚Record of the Year‘.

Right now Kwint is playing a lot of gigs in the Netherlands & Germany and is a regular guest on the ‚Chillout Bear Podcast‘, a Youtube Channel with more than 30.000 followers.

2016 Kwint is going to spend a lot of time in the studio, so be prepared for some rolling beats.

Hello I'm Beknoxx. I grew up on hip hop and comic books. Started going to parties in bout 94' and the scene where I'm from was mainly house and breaks driven. In about 97' I went to a party and they had a room in the basement of the club. It was a jungle room and it was unlike anything I had ever heard before. I instantly fell in love with the music and the connection of the people in that room. A few years later I decided I wanted to start mixing tunes, bought some 1200's and I was hooked. I played for about 7 years and had some decent gigs but gave it up to get my life in order and stepped away from the scene for about 7 years. 3 years ago I decided it was time to come back to the music that I love. Got some decks and started playing again. I play Likwid, Ruff, Jungle and Halftime in my mixes featured on my soundcloud and I am a member of the Mobile Unit. A local crew here stateside that plays all kinds of music across the board as well as produce. Hope everybody has as much fun listening to this mix as I did making it.
